It’s time to “Catch the DRIFF” as the Durham Region International Film Festival (DRIFF) celebrates 10 years of story telling October 22-24 connecting audiences and filmmakers.  Continuing DRIFF’s tradition of championing a wide range of cinema and emerging talent while promoting arts, culture, and community across Durham Region. This year’s event will be held at Centennial Building in Whitby, St Francis Centre for Community, Arts, and Culture in Ajax, and the Biltmore Theatre in Oshawa.

DRIFF is thrilled to again offer affordable tickets for everyone to enjoy the art of film in their own community. Tickets for Day 1 are $15, while Day 2 and 3 are $20 each. Before the programming is launched September 15, you can secure your Pre-Program Pass for $35 ($20 savings) from August 15 to September 14.

With a skillfully curated lineup of local and international films, festivalgoers can enjoy red carpet photo opportunities, shorts and feature-length screenings, filmmaker Q&As, a delicious local culinary showcase, interactive behind the scenes workshops, film awards ceremony and live music entertainment.

New this year on Day 2 DRIFF is hosting the free Myth to Market: The Future of Movie Making Summit. This special event focusing on AI and Climate Change features key industry leaders discussing how film and television production must confront technological and environmental challenges both in the stories they tell and how they tell them. Check out driff.ca for event details.  Come to DRIFF and let the films open your heart, transport you to a new world, educate you or inspire you!
